Mary Jane Alm




Mary Jane Alm has been a mainstay in the Twin Cities music scene for over three decades. This award winning vocalist has always made music that spans across many genres, from sensitive singer‐songwriter to blues to country to current pop and rock and roll.

She is one of only seven women in Minnesota music history to have been inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame. She is very proud of her 2013 induction! She was also inducted into the MidAmerica Music Hall of Fame, garnished eight Minnesota Music Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Artist of the Year and won an Emmy Award for her work with The Music Workshop for Kids.

Mary Jane has toured the world with the Twin Cities finest variety band, Synergy, and has shared the stage with many national acts, including The Judds, Charlie Daniels, Marie Osmond and Alabama.

She sang in a contemporary classical work called “The Forest” which was written and conducted by David Byrne of the Talking Heads and was a back‐up vocalist for Michael Johnson of “Bluer Than Blue” fame. She has also recorded jingles in studios from Chicago to Nashville for many national clients including McDonalds, Dairy Queen, Nature Valley, Target and General Mills. Mary Jane recently released her fourth CD, “Me and the Wild Blue”, which was produced, mixed and mastered by Grammy award winner, Steve Hodge.
